Hi everybody !
The time in Hamburg went swoooosh and thre weeks were gone. Lots of visits with friends and family made our time not boring. Denise learned again some more German and enjoied meeting many new playmates. The City habour placed perfect in the center of the town was cheaper than most Swedish,Danish,French or English boathabours, and from the cockpit you could watch all kind off interresting ships,boats vessels, the subway or people strolling over the pier.
Next stopover was Glückstad a smaller town down the river Elbe where we changed the folding propeller to a fixed one in order to get better propulsion specially in backward gear. Thanks to the "Yachtwerft Glückstadt" !
After a short stop in Borsfleth for another meeting with my father in his boat "Boe", we sailed into the Kiel-Kanal where we moored halvway for the night. The decision to start in light fog next morning, thinking it would lift soon, was not the best, we motored for two hours with very little visibility along the channelside, feeling very unpleasant. Anyway we arived in Kiel-Holtenau the day after . As to much wind, we had the time to stay in Charlottes old Unitown for about 3 days, getting visit from a cousin with children, exploring the town and having dinner in the good old "Bergklause".
After the wind had gone down a bit, we could sail on to Fynshavn on Denmarks island Als. Next morning we run under engine against very little wind into the "little belt" and had a nice daystopover on Bågö. After having had a nice walk and some time on the beach in Summertemperatures we went on to a small ankring place just before Middlefart.
Next morning we went on under engine (no wind) and enjoied lots off real common dolphins and some seals in the last part of the "little belt" + the first part of the kattegatt. Sunshine, water like a mirror and many dolphins jumping-- we hadent seen anything like this since the first part of our atlantic crossing ! Never had I seen real dolphins in the baltic anyhow.
That night we stopped in Hou/Hov having a BBQ. From there we sailed on to Grena, arriving late, leaving early again for Halmstad in Sweden. The sail over from Grena took 12 hours motorsailing for the 65sm hard on the wind, so we were really happy to get into Halmstad just before dark. Here Anna ,Charlottes Sister picked us up and we had a nice evening with her and Marcus at their home.
At the moment we are still here, waiting for the wind to go down so that we can sail on northward.

HAMBURG !
From Caen we sailed with mostly good winds via Honfleur,Fecamp and Dunkerque in France, Blankenberge in Belgium and Breskens + Vlieland in Holland to Cuxhaven in Germany were Peters parents came to visit / crew. From Cuxhaven Peters father sailed with Sampo via Borsfleth to Hamburg. Here we arrived last friday and since then we are busy meeting family and friends.
On the trip the first highlight was Honfleur, an incredibly nice old little town were most of the houses haven´t changed in 2-3 centuries. We just had to stay 2 days !
The next stop Fecamp had high cliffs around and a long wide beach of big round stones . As in the last 4 habours we came here right for market day... Denise enjoyed the many playgrounds on the beachfront promenade.
Dunkerque felt a bit like home with the big industrial park, otherwise it was just a nightstop for us.
In Blankenberge we stayed 2 days again and visited the nice old town of Bruegge with train for a day. Loads of history again. We enjoyed the Belgium beer and fries but it was quite expensive there.
The next stop was supposed to be Vlissingen but the habour was already full, so we stayed overnight in Breskens. Free showers !
After Breskens we had to sail outside the sheldearea, and cross Europort entrance, Europes busiest habourarea which I did not like too much, but everything went well so we went on sailing the next night to Vlieland.

Some nice time in France
Ciao!
We spent a wonderful time in Cherbourg, St Vaast La-Hougue and Caen with our friends Alejandra, Patrik and Emilia. Denise was very happy of course that her best friend came to see her. We visited some playgrounds, old churches, the Cité de la mer with its aquarium and submarine, ate lots of ice cream, Chinese and French food, went for a swim, took a walk on the tidal flat and visited some oyster cultures, did some shopping etc. It was very nice anyway!
We also got a visit from Daniel, an old friend of Charlotte from the time she was studying at a lycée in France. He took the train from Paris to Caen just over the day to visit us on Sampo and we spent a nice day in Caen together. Denise was shy the first half hour and then she was holding his hand and wanted him to play with her.
Now, after a short visit at home in Stenungsund to get some more warm clothes, we are in Honfleur. This is a nice little town with lots of old buildings and nice architecture which were not destroyed during the wars. It is really a place that we can recommend to visit if you are in this area. And now when we have enough warm clothes and sleeping bags here on Sampo we got some nice and sunny summer weather again. It was actually quite hot the whole last week until tonight when it started to rain...

Hi everyboy again !
Well after 9 1/2 days we arrived here in this nice town of Cherbourg in France. The wind was all the time from the half until aft but much stronger and with worse waves as expected. It was often blowing 5-6 bf, sometimes 7 anf in gusts even more. Nice fast sailing but very exhausting !! You don´t always feel good in the stomach...
But Denise did - she always sleept through the nights without trouble, even in the worst waves, waking up in the morning, happy, and ready to play with her tired parents.
The last days we had 2h watches, and so we were really happy to arrive safely here. Tomorrow Emilia, Alexandra and Patrik from Stenungsund will arrive for a week on board and we all are really looking forward to this !

Wall painting in Horta!
Hi!
It was really fun to make this painting on the wall in Horta! It makes you feel like a great artist for a day or so! And it is nice to walk around and see all the other paintings.
We also made a painting in Angra do Heroísmo, but as it was raining afterwards the sailing boat disappeared and we had to make a new one and we hope this one will stay there a bit longer!
Today we will begin the crossing to France, the sun is shining and we don't expect too much wind!

We leave the Azores
From Horta we motorsailed 10 hours to Velas on Sao George were we stayed for four days in the small marina. We enjoied the quite little town with its very friendly habourmaster Joe . In the evenings after sundown the birdcolonie in the hills above the habour disturbed the quiteness for a few hours every evening with screams and weired sounds. There was the big island festival which started the day after we arrived, but most happenings, concerts and so on started first in the evenings after 22.30 or later, so we did not get a lot out of it. We saw a "bullfight" but it was more a sad thing were youths made a fool out of a young bull/kalv which could not really get hold with its hooves on the road.
On we sailed to Angra de Herismo on Terceira which so far is our favorite here in the Azores. A very nice old town with lots to explore, nice bars and restaurants and again very friendly people. We stayed here as well four days, and had a rental car today with which we visited the interior whith it´s caves, lakes vulcanoes and hydrogenaflowers everywere.
Tomorrow we will probably start to sail in direction France were we will get Emilia, Alexandra and Patrik as visitors for a week. We all are really looking forward to this !
Now we hope for good not too much wind for this last long sail for this trip. It is about 1300sm to Cherbourg in France or if we have to see land earlyer it is about 900sm to La Coruna in Spain.
We calculate an average of 100sm per day.

Atlantik-Azores
Hi!
On June 18th we arrived to the Azores after 21 days and 21½ hours at sea and are now in the marina of Horta. We left St Martin on May 27 and we were racing against a dutch 36 footer and of course (!) we won the transatlantic race! They arrived the day after us so now we are looking forward to being invited to gin and tonic at Peter Café Sport! We received a medal from the "Queen of Holland", saying "Winner" but are still waiting for the Gin and Tonic which was supposed to be the price.
The passage was nice and actually very calm with not so much wind. Some days we could take a swim from the boat in 5000 meter deep water (!) and we saw dolphins and whales quite a lot of times. It is really nice to see the dolphins swimming around the boat and jump in the water! The water was sometimes flat and clear as a mirror and with a deep blue, not possible to describe or catch on pictures. During the passage we also caught three fishes so we had really fresh and delicious food! Sometimes there were less than an hour from the time the fish came out of the water until we had eaten the grilled fish. Because of the little wind we had to run under engine for 150 hours but still we had about 170 liters of diesel left when we arrived. About the same with water and most other food, we only used about 1/2 or less of what we had on board. The freezer worked so well that we had cold drinks all the time, and after 16 days out we could eat a chicken.
And with a 3-year-old it never gets boring! Denise was jumping around a lot but she was amazing because she never complained during these three weeks that she wanted to go ashore or about anything else. She could sit alone inside making bead necklaces and drawings or sit in the cockpit with us watching dolphins or just the water. She slept well in her bed behind the sofa, normally from sunset to sunrise, but when we got further north and the days became longer she also slept less…
Now we are enjoying Horta , the habour with all the famous paintings around the pier, and we will stay around for about 1 week more.

St Martin
Hi There !
Again in english...
We are now in St Maarten, on the Duch side of this Duch/French island. To come here from Gouadeloupe we visited the Islands of Montserrat, St Kitts and St Eustatius. On the sail to Montserrat, we catched a nice tuna--mmm ! On Montserrat, which has a Vulcano which is since 1995 erupting regulary, we made a tour with a local guide which brought us as close to the vulcano and the old maintown as possible. That was totally unbeliveble, to see a town which just 10 years ago had maybe 12000 people living there totally dead, mostly under mud. A lot of big luxury villas are empty with thik vulcanodust everywhere and people will probably never come back to them. At the same time the other halv off the island which was not specially populated before, now has a lot off new buiding, and the progress off getting a functional new main town is impressing.
On the trip from Montserrat to St Kitts we meet a group of Dolphins which played with our boat for maybe 15 min. Totally magic !
From St Kitts we wanted to sail to St Martin, but much wind, seasickness and gasoline in the bilges whith its smell made us change course to St Eustatius. There it took me some time to get up on my feet again... No cooling water on the way to the mooring showed to be the Impeller which I later had to change. Never fun to fix the engine...
But St Eustatius showed to be a really nice island . We had a looong walk up onto the rim of the old vulkano from where we could look down into the crater which now has rainforrest and a rich birdlife.
Snorkelling was not so nice as too large swells, even if it normally is one of the best places for diving and snorkeling.
From the boat i catched a little shark after dippoing the hook for maybe 10 seconds into the water. Around the hook were by that time already 5-6 sharks...
Nice taste to eat, but swimming is not as much fun since that...
Now here on St Martin we are preparing us and the boat for our longest trip of ca 2300sm to the Azores. We will start in 1-2 weeks, depending on the weather.

Gouadeloupe / English
Hi
Sorry there is not enough time to write seperate in Swedish and German...
We are now on Gouadeloupe, and just said goodbye to our friends Louise and Fritz who had visited us for two weeks. First we sailed to les Saintes , a small group of islands south of Gouadeloupe, and the we sailed on to Domenica, where we stayed some days, and made nice tripps into the rainforresty mountains. Our plans to sail the boat are getting more conkrete, and tomorrow we will leave to Montserrat, a vulcanoisland on the way to St Martin. There will be coming some more smaller islands on the way to St Martin, from where we plan to start our crossing to the Azores.

Vive Martinique!
Now we are in Martinique where we actually get some rain, if the pictures were too nice... It took 17 hours from Bequiqa for 105 nm and two thirds of the crew was a little seasick even if it was great sailing weather with a speed up to 9 knots!

Snorkling med sköldpaddor på Tobago Cays!
Hej!
Nu är vi åter i civilisationen på Bequia efter ett par härliga avslappnande dagar på Mayreau som är en liten ö med en underbar sandstrand kantad av palmer och perfekt för Denise (och oss) att bada från. Vi har även varit på Union Island där vi checkade in officiellt på St Vincent & the Grenadines. Där fanns det en liten ö som de med start 2002 byggt upp av conch (stora snäckor) och nu finns det en bar där som har utsikt över vattnet mot alla håll. Häftigt projekt som fortfarande pågår. Just nu höll de på med taket.
Men häftigast av allt var nog snorklingen på Tobago Cays! Vi snorklade vid korallrev i azurblått vatten tillsammans med en massa fiskar och stora sköldpaddor! Vi lyckades även ta några bilder med varierande kvalitet på dem. Peter såg t o m hajar i vattnet (troligen sköterskehajar)! Det finns häftiga rev att snorkla vid runt halva Tobago Cays, så vi turades om att snorkla och vara med Denise på stranden. Men hon tycker också om att bada och med uppblåsbara armringar eller badring "simmar" hon riktigt bra. Ibland har vi simmat från stranden och tillbaka till båten tillsammans.
Men nu är vi som sagt på Bequia och nu står duschning på programmet (undrar om det finns någon skala för hur salt man kan bli?). Jag menar, blir håret någon procent saltare efter varje bad eller bara känns det så?! Igår åt jag hummer och Peter fisk (Mahi mahi) på restaurang och om fisken var god så var hummern delikat! Denise hamburgare var också helt okej, även om hon denna gång verkade föredra fisk och ris! Kvällen avslutades med Pina Colada på Frangipani och utan att kunna jämföra med världens alla Pina Colador så känns det som att dessa borde platsa in bland de bästa!
Nu sitter vi växelvis på internetcafét med wifi och Denise badar och leker i sanden. Vi skall även checka ut från St Vincent & the Grenadines och segla vidare norrut ikväll för vinden skall vara ostlig och rätt "lagom". Sedan får vi se om vi stannar till på St Lucia eller seglar vidare direkt. Vinden skall öka lite i styrka och bli nordligare framåt helgen så det vore perfekt nu för att ta oss vidare.
En annan sak är att vi redan börjar bli fästa vid Sampo och leker med tanken att segla tillbaka med Sampo i juni, så om det finns någon frivillig besättning för Atlantöverfarten är det bara att höra av sig...

Tobago keys /Bequia Deutsch
Hallo
Mal wieder ein Lebenszeichen von uns... Wir sind jetzt nach einigen wunderbaren Tagen auf Mayreau, und den Tobago Keys auf Bequia angekommen. Auf Mayreau gab es wunderbare Palmenumsäumte Strände und schönstes Baden speziell für Denise. Auf den Tobago Keys haben wir mit grossen Meeresschildkröten geschnorchelt und ich hatte mein erstes treffen mit Haien unter Wasser. Die Ankunft hier auf Bequia haben wir gestern Abend im Restaurant gefeiert und hinterher mit eiskaltem Pina Colada begossen.
Heute Abend soll es weiter gehen in Richtung Norden, da wir am 15. Besuch auf Guadeloupe bekommen, und es ab ende der Woche etwas windiger werden soll.
inzwischen fangen wir an unser Sampoboot mehr und mehr zu mögen und überlegen die Pläne sohin zu ändern das wir Sampo im Juni zurücksegeln. Dafür wird noch dringend Extrabesatzung gesucht !
Jetzt müssen wir erst mal duschen, und dann mal wieder zu Customs und Immigration...
Mal wieder ein Lebenszeichen von uns... Wir sind jetzt nach einigen wunderbaren Tagen auf Mayreau, und den Tobago Keys auf Bequia angekommen. Auf Mayreau gab es wunderbare Palmenumsäumte Strände und schönstes Baden speziell für Denise. Auf den Tobago Keys haben wir mit grossen Meeresschildkröten geschnorchelt und ich hatte mein erstes treffen mit Haien unter Wasser. Die Ankunft hier auf Bequia haben wir gestern Abend im Restaurant gefeiert und hinterher mit eiskaltem Pina Colada begossen.

We are in St Georges, Grenada
Hi,
We are now in Grenada and after visiting Prickly Bay and Hog Island we are now in the capital St Georges. The night when we sailed to Grenada was a bit rough although it was mainly the swell that was uncomfortable and not the wind.
On the beach we have been collecting shells and and conches. The water is clear but not crystal clear and Peter tried some snorkeling.
Internet is too slow. We will write more later. We are all doing well and enjoy it here!

Sampo is ours and we are sailing to Grenada!
Hi,
We have finally got the original bill of sale per FedEx (yesterday) and now we are free to sail the Caribbean! That is to say, if the Customs here in Chaguaramas find our bill of sale okay, because normally they want it to be notarized and ours is only signed from two witnesses. So we will see if we can clear out tomorrow...
The engine seems to work okay and we got it checked from a professional as well. We have put up all the sails at least once, and are fixing the last things before we are leaving. Tomorrow morning we will stock up some last things like fresh food (and among these things we also hope we will find pillows!). Can't really understand how pillows can be sold out everywhere except for one shop, where we unfortunately didn't buy the pillows.
Tonight we are invited to "Baby", who is cooking at the Diego Martin Pan Institute and he also has a restaurant of his own, or it is actually familyowned. So Cathy and Clyde from the Pan institute come to pick us up in about half an hour.
One evening Cathy, Clyde and Baby came out to see us on our boat Sampo. We barbecued some fish with my new favourite herb, shadon beni, on our new BBQ. We also bought some CDs from Clyde and got them signed.
Yesterday we went out to Scotland Bay to celebrate my birthday. Peter made some nice barbecued beef and Cola with rum. At first it was blowing quite a lot and in the night it became very calm. But we could still here the monkeys howling...
Denise is running around in the internet café and I think it is time to stop for this time. We will write some more later, but we appreciate hearing from you as well.

Chaguaramas ,still waiting / Svenska
Hej
Vi sitter fortfarende i Chaguaramas pa Trinidad och vaentar pa batpappren. Vi bor pa baten men far inte sjoesaetta den innan original koepekontraktet ifran Sverige har kommit. Lang vaentan...
Under tiden har vi nu hyrt en bil och boerjad upptaecka oen med denna. Igar gjored vi en heldagstur igenom Regnskogen i bergstrakterna. Vaegen gick via jaettedaliga smavaegar ,delvis med jordsred, genom regnskogsklaedda berg och sen ner till nordkusten med fina straender och jaettevagor.

Inzwische ist es der 9.03. wenn das Datum am Computer stimmt. Hier ist die Lage unveraendert. Wir haben uns fuer ein Schiff entschieden, wohnen darauf, haben bezahlt, und warten darauf den unterschriebenen Vertrag aus Schweden zurueck zu bekommen. Dies hat sich inzwischen aber leider als recht langwierig erwiesen, da der alte Eigner kein Englisch beherrscht, und anscheinend den Vertrag, der als ein attachment in den e-mails liegt nicht oeffnen kann.
Wir haben jetzt Soeren eingeschaltet, der uns hoffentlich behilflich sein kann indem er den Vertrag ausdruckt, und derm alten Eigner zur Unterschrift hinlegt...
Hier liegt das Boot an Land, und wir duerfen es nicht bewegen bevor wir die richtigen Papiere haben.
Da die Zeit schnell vergeht, und wir nicht nur warten koennen, haben wir seit freitag ein Mietauto und waren die letzten Zwei Tage damit ueber die Insel unterwegs. Gestern eine ganztagestour durch den Regenwald, ueber Wege, die teilweise bei und nur als Fusswege gelten wuerden. Das ganze auf Serpentinen mit Erdrutschen, Schlagloechern... Klasse !!

J'ouvert
Man firar förstås att Carnival börjar och det gör man genom att festa natten till måndagen då karnevalen börjar officiellt. Festen kallas J'ouvert och börjar vid 3.00 och håller på tills efter frukost. Peter och sju andra från vårt hostel var med i ett band som kallades Red Jokers och man behöver ju inte undra varför de har den färgen i namnet...
De kom tillbaka vid 10-tiden och de flesta var förhållandevis pigga efter att ha festat på en all inclusive-fest halva hela natten och gått en massa kilometer efter en lastbil med en massa högtalare och sprit samt inte att förglömma, en massa röd färg!!! Kul verkar de ha haft i alla fall!

Sampo
Moin,
Es scheint jetzt langsam weiterzugehen! Wir haben die erste Anzahlung gemacht fürs Boot und schon den Schlüssel bekommen, auch wenn der Kaufvertrag noch nicht unterschrieben ist. Peter ist heute in Chaguaramas und schrubbt Sampo von aussen und fängt an drinnen aufzuräumen. Das Boot war ziemlich dreckig und vollgestopft mit Sachen, ist aber dafür recht gut ausgerüstet und es gibt einige Ersatzteile da. Wir müssen nur einiges saubermachen und natürlich ein paar Sachen austauschen oder fertig machen...
Heute nachmittag werden Denise und ich auch dahinfahren und wir werden uns mit ein paar von den Yachties treffen und zusammen grillen. Es wird bestimmt nett ein paar andere Segelleute kennenzulernen. Vielleicht sind sogar andere Kinder dabei!

Alla skämmer bort Denise...
Hej igen!
Nu när de fem australiensarna är här har Denise fått nya "lekkamrater" och hon sitter i deras knä och äter upp deras vattenmelon! Sen har hon börjat säga "good morning" på engelska, men "thank you" vägrar hon fortfarande att säga när hon får något! Och hon får en massa saker, en liten påse chips när vi äter mat någonstans, en juiceförpackning, några jordnötter (som hon började äta med skalet på!), en extra förpackning extra sötade frosties... Men när hon är med oss kan hon säga thank you utan problem!
Men både Cathy som har hostelet och "Baby" som jobbar här har fått godnattkramar av henne! Fast det tog två veckor innan hon sa good morning till Baby. Av Baby har hon fått både halsband och ett litet rosa sagoslott med de minsta tillbehör jag sett! Figurerna är typ två cm långa och ankorna en halv cm, liksom trollspöna, men dessa är inte tjockare än en stoppnål! Undrar bara hur länge dessa tillbehör finns kvar? Hästarna och vagnen är något större.

Traditionell maskerad och barnvakt!
Hej!
Igår blev vi erbjudna att följa med och kolla på traditionell maskerad på kvällen. Vi skulle precis singla slant om vem som skulle gå ut denna kväll när Cathy erbjöd sig att vara barnvakt. Denise sov redan i vårt rum och Cathy sa att hon kunde kolla till henne. Vi har ju bott här i två veckor nu och Denise har t o m gett Cathy godnattkram så efter en kort tvekan gick vi med på att åka båda två. Vi har ju en mobil från Trinidad som hon kan nå oss på om det skulle vara något.
Vi åkte i alla fall och det var mäktiga kostymer att titta på, helt otroliga kreationer! Vi såg när de gjorde sig i ordning och poserade och framförde dans inför juryn. Har aldrig sett något liknande förut!
När vi kom tillbaka vid midnatt var dörren till vårt rum öppen och Denise inte där!!! Hittade henne ute i Cathys knä lyssnandes på steelpanmusik live. Clyde spelade för de fem nya gästerna från Australien. Denise vaknade när australiensarna kom och eftersom Cathy var där med dem tog hon upp Denise då. Sen gick de ut på baksidan och strax därefter kom Peter och jag tillbaka. Allt hade funkat bra och det var inga problem att inte vi var där när hon vaknade.

Båten Sampo
Hej allihopa!
Allt är bra med oss. Det verkar vara typ 40 graders skillnad i temperatur här jämfört med hemma. Vi fick precis foto med pulka och snö och det går inte riktigt att föreställa sig just nu. Det enda som är kallt här är isbitarna i drinken...
Det ser ut att gå framåt med båtköpet av Sampo, en finskbyggd "Custom Cutter" från 1982, och det står nu som "sale pending". Så nu vågar vi nog börja hoppas på att det hela går i lås, även om fortfarande ingenting är underskrivet. Vi har betalat handpenningen och den gamla ägaren, en man på 79 år från Sverige, har skickat ett sms till oss där han skriver att han ska skicka ett mail om att vi ska få tillträde till båten även innan allt är underskrivet, så vi kan börja rengöra, polera och måla den. Så förhoppningsvis kan vi få nyckeln till den i morgon, dvs precis innan Karnevalen kör igång på riktigt!

Segelboot Sampo / Deutsch
Oioioi wie schnell die Zeit vergeht.
Inzwischen sind wir bald seit 2 Wochen hier auf Trinidad. Wir gewöhnen uns langsam an die Hitze, und haben sogar schon einige Ausflüge zwischendurch geschafft. Wir waren im Zoo, der nicht all zu Gross ist, aber einen guten Ûberblick über die Tierwelt im Regenwald giebt. Viele Schlangen, Affen und Papageien... Im Botanischen Garten, wo man riesige Bambus und Panyabäume bestaunen kann, und wo einem die Wilden Papageien über den Kopf fliegen waren wir auch, sowie abwechselnd abends auf Calypsovorstellungen.
Inzwischen haben wir uns für ein Schiff entschieden, Sampo ein finnisches 34 fuss Kunstoffboot.
Leider ist Bezahlung und Unterschrift noch nicht ganz klar, und desshalb können wir noch nichtb anfangen es für uns in Ordnung zu stellen. Wir hoffen noch diese Woche Zutritt zu bekommen, da ansonsten die Karnevalwoche dazwischen kommt, und alles um eine Woche herausgezögert wird, wo wir noch im Hostel bleiben müssten.

Båtletandet på Trinidad
Hej
Nu har redan 5 dagar gått sen vi tog färjan ifrån Tobago över till Trinidad. Värmen är reällt. Som tur är har vi en liten pool i trädgården av vårt guesthouse, som vi även kan använda nattetid. Vi har varit på barnens karneval vilket var riktig skojigt, och redan med jättehög musik. Den riktiga karnevalen som kommer snart måste vara ofattbart stor. Hela långtradare som bara är lastade med jättehögtalare samt delvis flera tusend utklädda dansare i dom olika grupperingar. Guesthuset där vi bor är specialiserad på pan/steeldrummusik samt calypsosång, och vi har redan varit med på en födelsedadsfest för en av dom gamla Calypsolegenderna här, med trevlig livemusik, mat och dricka.
Dom senaste dagar har vi börjat leta efter båt, och förhoppningsvis kommer vi att har nyheter om detta redan denna vecka.

På Tobago
Hej!
Här är vi i vårt rum på Kias across the Beach på Tobago. Så här kul tycker Denise att det är att vara på semester! Rummet är helt okej och Denise har en spjälsäng som är kvadratisk och alltså nästan dubbelt så stor som en vanlig. Hon verkar sova rätt gott i den i alla fall även om air condition är lite väl högljudd, i alla fall tills vi vant oss vid den. Sen har vissa av bilarna som åker förbi musik på rätt hög volym, det vill säga ungefär som att man förpassats med säng och allt in direkt på ett discogolv! Men annars är det ganska lugnt och fridfullt. Denise är mycket fascinerad över att det växer bananer och mandariner i trädgården till vårt hostel. Bananerna är inte mogna ännu fast mandarinerna smakar vi, men de är gulgröna till färgen och fortfarande lite sura.

Ankunft Trinidad / Deutsch
Hallo allerseits, inzwischen sind wir via London/Tobago auf Trinidad angekommen.
Der Flug von London startete mit 2 st Verspätung, verlief für uns dann aber sehr ruhig, und wir kamen abends bei Kias across the Beach in Tobago an. Recht kaputt überhitzt und müde...
Die nächsten Tage waren wir gut essen und an verschiedenen herrlichen Stränden zum Baden. Zwischendurch aber immer wieder Regen. --Aber trotzdem ist es immer warm-heiss.
Vorgestern wollten wir dann mit der Fähre nach Trinidad, erfuhren dann aber am Hafen, dass es erst am nächsten Tag eine neue Fähre giebt... Also gestern morgen 4.45 aufstehen und mit dem Taxi nach Scabarough zur Fähre. Gegen 9.00 sind wir dann hier in Trinidad angekommen und tatsächlich von der Fähre abgeholt worden mit direkttaxi zum Diego Martin Pan institute. Was hier so los ist könnt Ihr am besten bei yourtube sehen.
Gestern nachmittag und heute vormittag habe ich dann nach Booten geschaut, und montag morgen werden wir zusammen weitersuchen. Heute nachmittag waren wir hier im Guesthouse zur Geburtstagsparty einer Panlegende eingeladen, mit leckerem Essen Getränken, livemusik und guter Stimmung.

Nu ska vi snart resa / Svenska
Hejsan
Nu skall vi altså snart iväg ! Flyg härifrån till London går den 31.01. , och ifrån London går det vidare till Tobago i Västindien den 01.02. Där skall vi slappa några dagar tills vi ta färjan över till Trinidad. På Trinidad har vi bokad en hostel för dom första 7 dagar. Samtidigt hoppas vi att hitta och köpa en båt inom denna tid. På båten skall vi sen resa och leva i ca 7 månader,främst i Västindien, men även Guyanas regnskog.
Huset är uthyrd, och vi packar nu för fullt ...
Denise och Emilia över sig redan på att håller kontakt via telefon som ni kan ser på bilden.
